Camino Arts is a non-profit cultural and heritage initiative created to illuminate the intersection of sustainable communities and artistic endeavor through the unique cadence of a trail called El Camino Real. The music, culture and stories of this ancient road form a well worn common ground, trod by millions of sojourners.  Camino Arts draws its spirit from these adventurers. They are a living symbol of the aim of art, which is to reveal meaning in our common humanity.

Our Mission and Who We Are

Our mission is to foster sustainable communities through the preservation and celebration of the artistic and cultural heritage of El Camino Real, and to research, perform, preserve, and educate the public about the music and culture forged along El Camino's international trail.

Our founders are leading artists, recording industry executives, impresarios, scholars and cultural instigators spanning theatrical, concert, digital and traditional broadcast and publishing platforms. Their stories are here.

Our History

Camino Arts was originally catalyzed in 2014 under the name El Camino Project. In 2015 three members of the ECP leadership team re-organized under the name Camino Arts to avoid confusion with the many commercial enterprises using the El Camino name and to deliver a strong brand identity associated with the qualities of inclusiveness, artistic endeavor, curiosity, adventure and sustaining community.
